My grandmother’s trick for drying herbs without a fancy dehydrator
I hung a bunch of rosemary from the kitchen curtain rod with rubber bands and it dried perfectly in 6 days, zero electricity used, has anyone else tried this old method over those expensive drying racks?
And did you find that the rosemary kept its color better than if you'd just left it on the counter? That's my biggest worry with that method, you know, the herbs turning brown and losing their smell. I tried hanging oregano from a curtain rod once (not my finest idea, the rod came down after two days) and it worked okay, but the leaves got super brittle. Did yours get dusty at all hanging there for almost a week?
