My grandma's vinegar trick for weeds actually worked, I'm shook
I always thought spraying vinegar on garden weeds was just an old wives' tale, you know? But last month I tried it on the cracks in my stone path (the ones that drive me crazy) and after three days those little buggers were all brown and crispy. Saved me $12 on weed killer and my garden smells like a salad, which is kind of a bonus. Has anyone else had luck with other kitchen staples for garden problems?

Wait, have you noticed how many old school tricks actually work better than the stuff we buy at the store now? lol. I tried a similar thing with boiling water on driveway weeds last summer and it worked way better than that expensive spray I bought. It's kind of funny how we've been conditioned to think we need fancy chemicals for everything when our grandmas figured it out with pantry stuff. My mom still uses baking soda for half her cleaning and refuses to buy the name brand sprays. I swear sometimes the simple stuff is actually stronger because there's no filler or watered down formulas in it.

But doesn't boiling water wreck your soil's good bacteria long term?
