Had a chat with my 80 year old neighbor about her clothesline yesterday
She told me she's never owned a dryer in 60 years and I realized my 'cozy' laundry room with all those fancy baskets is just a place to hide piles of clothes I'm too lazy to hang outside, has anyone else swapped their dryer for a line and actually stuck with it?

Fancy laundry room with all those baskets" is doing a lot of work here. I think you're overthinking a tumble dryer. They're a tool, not a moral failing. I hung my laundry out for one summer because I was trying to save on my electric bill. By August I was back to the machine because I got sick of checking the weather forecast before I did a load of socks and underwear. It's just not that deep.
