Drying herbs on a $3 screen door screen instead of the oven actually worked
My basil kept going limp in the oven on the lowest setting, so a neighbor in Vermont showed me how she lays a cut screen door over two sawhorses and lets herbs dry in the garage for about 10 days. I did it with a bunch of thyme and oregano and they kept way more smell than the oven batch. Anyone else dry stuff this way, and do you bring it in at night for dew or just leave it?
