Warning: I saw a stylist in Nashville completely botch a balayage with a new 'fast-acting' lightener

The client's ends melted off after 45 minutes because they didn't do a proper test strand first. Has anyone else had a bad experience with these quick formulas?

Wow, hold on a second. I have to completely disagree here. These fast lighteners are no joke and they can be way too strong for some hair types, no matter how skilled the stylist is. @nina_hall, calling it just a stylist problem ignores that the formulas are getting more aggressive. A pro should know better than to skip a test, but the product itself can absolutely be the main culprit. It's a dangerous combo when you mix a powerful chemical with any human error.

Honestly, that sounds like a stylist problem, not a product problem.

Tbh I always thought it was the product too, but you saying that made me see it differently.
