Noticed something wild at a salon in Austin last week
I went to this small salon downtown Austin to check out their color work and almost every stylist was using baby powder on their clients before blow drying. I asked one of them about it and she said it helps grip the roots for volume without washing out the style. I tried it on a few clients this week and honestly the volume lasted way longer than with just mousse. Has anyone else seen this trick popping up in their area? I'm curious if it works on finer hair types too.

@luna_green hit it right. I was skeptical at first too, thought baby powder would just make hair look dull or sticky. Tried it on a client with super fine hair and it was night and day difference. No greasy buildup, just real volume that stayed put for hours. Old habits die hard but this one actually delivers.
