Just realized two stylists in my salon want opposite things for walk-in color corrections
One of them charges full price for a correction and blocks 3 hours, the other quotes half and tries to fit it between cuts. They got into it in front of a client last Tuesday and I've been thinking about it since. Which side do you land on, and does your salon have any actual rule for this?
Ask both of them to write down their full cost on the same kind of correction, not just the price on the tag. The one quoting half is probably leaving out the redo risk, the extra product, and the slot she loses when it runs long, and that gap is the real argument. Also worth pointing out that a client who hears two prices in one room learns to shop your staff against each other, which costs you more than either quote. Put a rule on paper: one price sheet for corrections, and the person who books it owns the time block.
