Just hit my first 50 waxing clients this month and it hit me differently

I was prepping for a brazilian yesterday and my client mentioned she switched to me because her last waxer rushed through the consultation. That stuck with me because I spent my first two years rushing too. Hitting 50 clients this month made me realize how much slower and more intentional I've gotten with each appointment. Has anyone else noticed that taking more time upfront actually saves time later?

Read a thing saying slow is smooth and smooth is fast, seems to fit here.

Oh absolutely, I had this epiphany while a client was telling me about her last waxer who literally had her in and out in 8 minutes flat. Like congrats on the speedrun but she missed a whole strip of hair and left her with a burn from going too fast. Now I spend a solid 5 minutes just mapping out growth patterns and it feels ridiculous but I swear it saves me from going back over the same spot later. Tbh the people who rush through consults are probably the same ones who think a brazilian is a 20 minute appointment and wonder why their clients keep ghosting them.
