I'm probably the only one who still likes using a razor for neckline cleanup

Everyone at my shop switched to trimmers years ago, but I find a basic Gillette gives me a cleaner line on those tricky nape fades. Am I just stuck in my ways or does anyone else still do this?

My dad still uses a straight razor for his whole shave. He's got this old leather strop hanging in the bathroom and everything. Says the electric razor my sister bought him feels like a bee buzzing on his face. Some things just work for you, you know?

Notice the same thing with kitchen gadgets. People buy a fancy single-use tool for everything, but my grandma's old paring knife still does the job better. There's a quiet satisfaction in mastering a simple tool everyone else gave up on. You're not stuck, you just found what actually works for your hands. The clean line is the proof.

Reminds me of my old climbing gear, a beat up harness and some basic cams. Fancy new stuff comes out every year but my worn in kit just feels right. The mountain doesn't care about the brand name.
