I finally tried a demi-permanent color on my own hair after years of permanent only.

The shine and health are way better, and it faded evenly instead of getting that weird line. What's your favorite demi line for covering stubborn grays?

Honestly, the real game changer for my stubborn grays was a demi with a 20 volume developer instead of 10. It gives a bit more staying power without the damage of permanent. Have you tried playing with the developer strength?

My friend's stylist said the exact same thing about using 20 volume on her demi. She had these really resistant silver streaks at her temples that just would not take color. They bumped up the developer for one session and it actually worked, the color stuck around for ages. She was so happy she didn't have to jump to a full permanent dye. It's a solid trick for sure.

Wait, they used a 20 volume on a demi? That's basically permanent color territory, the line is so blurry. @sage286's friend got lucky it worked out, but that developer strength can really lift the cuticle.
