Heads up about using straight alcohol to sanitize your shears.
I learned this the hard way after ruining a $120 pair of shears I bought last year. I was just using rubbing alcohol on them between clients like I always did, but I noticed the screw got super loose and the blade alignment was off. Turns out 91% isopropyl can eat away at the lubricant and even the finish over time if you don't wipe them down properly. Has anyone else dealt with shears getting weird after cleaning them this way?

Honestly, isn't that always how it goes, one tiny shortcut ends up costing way more in the long run?

Used to think shortcuts were fine, @iris394, but yeah, you're totally right.
