Found my old color wheel from beauty school in a box last week

It's from 2015, and the formulas on the back are for colors that just don't sell anymore (remember when everyone wanted that ashy beige blonde?). Pulling it out made me realize how much the standard client request has shifted toward warmer, richer tones. What's one outdated technique or product you're kinda glad we moved on from?

Opening that box must have been like finding a time capsule full of bad decisions. The ashy beige blonde era was a crime against hair, honestly. Good riddance to those formulas that left everyone looking gray and washed out. The move toward warmer tones is a public service. My cousin still has pics from her 2015 "silver" phase and we roast her for it every holiday.

Remember when everyone looked like they washed their hair with fireplace ash.

The worst part was how those ashy tones made everyone's skin look sickly. My friend spent a fortune on a toner to fix her "champagne" blonde that turned her hair straight up gray. It's wild how trends can convince you that looking like you have a vitamin deficiency is chic.
