After a frizz fiasco, I'm rethinking my entire approach to humidity-proof styling

I always swore by heavy silicone serums to combat frizz, even in humid climates. But last week, a client's hair went limp and greasy after I applied my usual routine, convincing me to explore lighter, water-based options. What are your go-to products for humidity without weighing hair down?

Honestly, my friend dumped heavy silicone serums after her hair became a greasy mess in humid weather.

Did your friend try lighter silicone serums, @markm27?

That greasy mess in humid weather thing is SO real. But here's an angle nobody considers: silicone can actually seal your hair so tight it blocks ALL moisture from getting in, which is bad news if your hair is already dry. @bailey.miles might be onto something with lighter serums, but the real issue is buildup over weeks, not just weight. You could switch products forever and still have dull hair if you don't wash it out properly. It's less about the serum and more about how it acts like a plastic wrap on your strands.
