The day I realized my 'research' was just echo chamber hopping

I spent about two years deep in a certain rabbit hole, watching the same five YouTubers and reading the same rehashed forum threads. Then last Tuesday, I actually went to the source document they all cited, and it said the exact opposite of what everyone kept claiming. Took me 20 minutes with a cup of coffee to see that the core 'evidence' was a misread line from a 2008 report. That one check unraveled like three other theories I'd built on top of it. It made me wonder how many of us are just passing around the same bad link without ever clicking it. Has anyone else found that one original source that killed their whole chain of beliefs?

The 2008 report said the OPPOSITE? Maybe your source was the misread one.
