Spent 3 weekends chasing a shadow on my neighbor's satellite photo

I live near Reno and this guy in my HOA keeps insisting the new cell tower is actually a government listening post. He posted a blurry shot from Google Earth claiming there's a wire grid behind the tower. I dug through county permits, FCC filings, even called the tower company. It took me three Saturdays of cross-referencing public records to find the small print that showed the "grid" is just a fence for the utility equipment. The whole time he kept saying "open your eyes." Has anyone else spent way too long disproving something that took five minutes for the neighbor to move on from?
