My cousin swore the moon landing was faked at a family BBQ in Toledo
He pulled up a video on his phone about the flag waving and said 'they filmed it in a studio, look at the shadows.' I tried to explain the science but he just kept calling me naive. What's the best way to actually talk to someone who's that deep into a theory like that?

My uncle in Dayton still argues about the flag thing every Thanksgiving... it's exhausting.

A buddy of mine had the same thing happen with his dad over the flat earth stuff. He found out trying to fight facts with more facts just made his dad dig in harder. What finally worked was asking questions like 'what would it take to change your mind?' and listening without arguing back. It didn't fix everything overnight, but it stopped the yelling matches. Sometimes people just want to feel heard more than they want to be right.
