Honestly why do people still care so much? We left mirrors up there that we bounce lasers off of for science, and satellites have taken pictures of the landing sites. The whole thing feels like a waste of energy to argue about now. It's way easier to fake stuff today than it was back then with 1960s tech.

My cousin wasted two hours at Thanksgiving on moon landing nonsense. He went on about studio sets and old cameras, completely ignoring the mirror science you talked about, @taylorw30. The whole thing made me realize some arguments are just about feeling smart, not facts. I left the table and helped with pie instead. Now I avoid those talks like the plague.

Patterns like this pop up in all sorts of places. Some people would rather believe a complex lie than a simple truth. It gives them a feeling of control or secret knowledge. We see it with food fads and made-up stories that just won't die. Once someone ties who they are to a belief, facts bounce right off. I've learned to nod and change the subject, like Vera with her pie.
