I finally drove out to the Roswell museum and the gift shop told me more than the exhibits
Stopped by the UFO museum in Roswell last month on a drive back from Albuquerque, $10 to get in. The exhibits lean hard on the 1947 crash story, but the real head scratcher is the gift shop. They sell alien merch with a straight face, but there's a laminated card by the register that says something like 'no refunds on saucer photos, they come from our own archive.' I asked the guy behind the counter where the archive is, and he just smiled and said 'back room.' For a place built on a debate that's been going since 1947, it felt less like a museum and more like a business making money off both sides. Has anyone else poked around there and gotten a weird vibe off the staff?
