Spilled soda on my Switch at a bus stop, saved it with rice and a prayer
I was at the 14th and Main bus stop last Tuesday, trying to finish a Mario Kart race one-handed while holding a 32 oz soda, and of course the cup slipped right onto the console. The screen flickered like it was having a seizure and I panicked, so I yanked the battery out, shoved the whole thing in my backpack with a bag of instant rice, and left it there for 26 hours. It actually booted up fine the next day, but now the left Joy-Con drifts only when I play Zelda, so has anyone else dealt with a sticky disaster that left a weird quirk behind?

Soda sugar fried the drift sensor, rice won't fix that. Send it in for real.
