Got into an argument with a random dude at a GameStop about whether the SNES controller was the peak of design

He literally held his hands up like he was clutching an invisible controller for 10 minutes straight to prove his point and I just stood there nodding because honestly the shape is kinda perfect for my small hands lol has anyone else ever had a stranger go full demo mode on you in public?

Gotta give him credit for commitment, that's some real dedication to the cause. But honestly it's weird how people will argue over a controller or anything else like it's a life or death thing in a GameStop. I notice this same energy everywhere now, like at work when someone insists their way of filing papers is the only right way. It's like everybody's got this need to prove their thing is the best thing, even if nobody asked. Just a pattern I see, people picking hills to die on in the most random places.

Wait, you saw this happen at an actual GameStop? That's wild. I mean, I've seen people get heated over console debates online, but in person? In a store? That's a whole different level. I can't imagine standing there watching two grown adults go at it over a controller like it's the Super Bowl. And you're totally right, that energy spills over into everything now. I see people at the coffee shop arguing over the best way to order a latte like it's a life philosophy. Makes you wonder if we're all just looking for something to be right about, doesn't it?

Is it that crazy though? I feel like people getting riled up over a controller at GameStop is just part of the fun, it's not that deep.
