Waste of $60 on that cheap power trowel blade kit

Picked up a bargain blade set at a supply house near Tulsa last month, figured it would save me on a big warehouse floor job. First pad wore down unevenly after about 400 square feet and left gouges I had to fix by hand for 3 hours. Anyone else had bad luck with those off-brand kits or do I just need to stick with the name brands?
