Took me a full day to fix a bad honeycomb spot on a foundation wall
Had a pour for a garage foundation in Grand Rapids last week, and we got some serious honeycombing on one wall, about three feet long. Thought it would be a quick patch job, maybe an hour. Ended up taking me and my partner the whole next day to chip it out clean, build a form, and get the new mix to bond right without a cold joint. We used some Sika repair mortar, but getting the surface prep right was the killer. Anyone have a better method for a repair that size that doesn't eat a whole day?

Feel your pain, man. My last honeycomb fix turned into a two-day saga that made me question my whole career choice lol. Surface prep is always the killer.

My buddy Pete spent three hours prepping a honeycomb panel last week, only to have the adhesive fail because he missed one tiny spot.
