TIL the Hoover Dam used enough concrete to pave a two-lane highway from San Francisco to New York

Read it in an old engineering book at the library. Makes you think about the scale of some pours compared to our daily slabs. Anyone ever worked on a project that felt massive like that?

That "makes you think" line is so true. I mean, we see big buildings go up but it's hard to picture the actual material. Makes our driveway project feel pretty silly.

Honestly, breaking it into smaller trips helped me feel less silly about my own project.
