That time the power trowel battery died on a 30-yard garage floor in July

Honestly, it was in Phoenix, about 3 years back, middle of a 110-degree day. We were finishing a big garage slab and the brand new battery on our power trowel just quit, no warning. The concrete was setting up fast. I sent my guy to the truck for the corded backup while I hand-floated like crazy to buy time. We got it running again but had to work double-time to catch up. Anyone ever have a tool fail at the worst possible moment and what's your backup plan?

Man, that's brutal. I had a brand new pressure washer motor seize right before a big driveway cleaning job last summer. Smoke just poured out of it. My backup plan is always having the old, slower model in the van, even if it's a pain to store. It saved me that day. You learn real fast not to trust new gear on a big job without a plan B.

Plan B" is the real life cheat code.

Plan B, like @mark731 said, is the only plan.
