Spent $800 on a laser screed rental for a garage floor and it was a game changer
I remember the old days of pulling a 2x4 across the forms, checking with a level every few feet, and always having a low spot somewhere. Last month, I had a big garage job, about 30 by 40 feet, and the customer wanted it dead flat for some heavy equipment. I bit the bullet and rented a laser screed for the day. Set up the laser, that machine just glided across the surface, and the concrete was perfect. No humps, no birdbaths, just a slick plane. It cut my finishing time in half because I wasn't fighting the grade. Sure, the rental hurt the wallet, but the customer was thrilled and I got the job done before noon. Has anyone else made the jump to using one regularly, or is it still just a big-job luxury in your book?

Seriously, that's a lot of money just to avoid a little hand work.

Yeah I mean is it really that deep though like not everything has to be a life or money decision.
