PSA: Took me 3 hours to fix a simple bullnose edge mistake on a driveway in Austin

I was finishing a driveway last Tuesday and tried to rush the bullnose edge on a corner. Ended up with a weird lip that looked terrible and took forever to grind down smooth. The concrete had already set about 45 minutes in so I was fighting it with a hand grinder and diamond pad. Whole fix took 3 hours when it should have been a 10 minute touch up if I just slowed down. Has anyone else had a small detail snowball into a half day project like that?

Missed the part about it being in Austin though.

...and that's exactly how my Saturday went last month trying to fix a garage floor patch that looked like a melted crayon. Same thing happened to me when I got cocky with a magnesium float and ended up with a weird wave that took a diamond cup wheel and two buckets of patience to fix. Concrete just doesn't forgive you when you try to speed through the details lol.

Concrete just doesn't forgive you" is probably the truest thing I've read all week. It's wild how that rule applies to so many things in life, not just garage floors. I've noticed the same pattern with baking bread, trying to rush through a paint job, even learning a new hobby. You can't fake the details and expect a good result. Its like the universe is always testing if you really paid attention, you know? Glad you got it sorted, @seth_carr, even if it took a lot of elbow grease.
