My bull float handle snapped clean off halfway through a 40-yard garage slab pour in Boise yesterday.
I had to finish the last third of the pour using a magnesium hand float, which added about an hour to the job and my back is feeling it today, so what's your go-to backup plan when a key tool fails mid-pour?

Honestly I used to just power through with whatever was left, but a snapped trowel handle last year made me keep a whole backup kit in the truck now.

My uncle's backup kit saved a whole bathroom tile job after his margin trowel cracked.

Remember my buddy who tried to finish a floor with a putty knife?
