Can we talk about stamped concrete patterns that never line up?

I was at a supply house the other day and overheard this new guy bragging about how fast he laid out a patio with those cheap plastic stamp mats. Said he got it done in under 45 minutes. Then I saw a photo of his final job and the seams looked like a broken chess board. I spent 8 years learning how to line up those borders and corners without gaps. That kind of slop gives all of us a bad name when homeowners start complaining about crooked lines. Anybody else notice more guys skipping the layout chalk lines just to rush through a pour?

Must say I feel for anyone whose layout gets thrown off by a bad alignment guide, @victor_adams95. I've been there with stamping and it's just frustrating when you think you've got it perfect and then the pattern shifts on you. Hope QuadraMat's new stuff actually helps.
