Rant: Remember when fixing computers meant ordering in for the crew?
Back then, a tough repair job meant the team would chip in for a giant sub and sodas while we figured it out together. These days, it's mostly me alone in my van with a granola bar between house calls. I don't get to hear those dumb jokes over a shared bag of chips anymore. The work gets done, but the fun part of the trade feels like it's fading.

What was the last crew joke you remember?

Last week, my friend Tom told a joke about his construction crew. It was about how they always measure twice but still cut wrong, you know? Clairem81, your question reminded me of that because it's spot on for any group. Those inside jokes just highlight the daily mess we all deal with. Why do we even bother pretending we have it together?

Why do we pretend everything's FINE? I used to buy into that, but jokes about daily MESSES showed me we're better off being honest.
