My shop's 'dustiest system' count just hit 27

That's how many towers I've opened this year that had a full ecosystem living in the heatsink. Anyone else keep a tally for the gross ones?

Full ecosystem" made me laugh. I once found a whole ant colony using an old router as a nest, complete with little trails. It was way more organized than my actual network setup.

How do you even define a full ecosystem?

That's a good question. It seems like it would need to have all the basic parts that let things live and grow there. For a tech company, that usually means hardware, software, and services that all work together. But where do you draw the line? Does it need its own app store and payment system too?
