My PSU blew up yesterday and I finally ditched the non-modular habit

Had a 7 year old Corsair unit pop on me mid render Friday, took out the motherboard too. Swapped to a fully modular Seasonic for $140 and I don't get the hate anymore, that cable management difference is huge. Anyone else had a PSU failure change their build preferences?

My buddy's modular Seasonic caught fire two months ago, took his whole rig with it. I'll take my rats nest of cables over that any day.

Yeah, "took his whole rig with it" is EXACTLY why I stay away from modular too.
