Just lost a whole afternoon to a bad batch of thermal paste
Had a client's gaming rig overheating, so I redid the CPU paste. Used a tube I bought online for cheap, maybe $8. The temps were actually worse after, hitting 95C under load. Took everything apart again and the paste was dry and flaky, like it was old stock. Had to clean it all off and use my good stuff, which fixed it. Anyone else run into fake or expired paste recently? What brands do you trust now?
