Had a lightbulb moment when a router died: Our constant team pings are making us miss easy fixes.

Feel this so hard. We get so caught up in the noise of all those pings that the obvious stuff just disappears. It's like your brain is too busy putting out fires to see the simple fix right in front of you. That router dying probably felt like a huge deal, but it was just a thing that needed resetting or replacing. Constant alerts train us to look for complex problems when often it's something basic. We need to step back and quiet the chat sometimes to see what's really wrong.

Ugh right? I spent an hour troubleshooting my tv sound last week when it was just on mute lmao. We make it so hard on ourselves.

Totally get what you mean about missing the simple stuff. It happens everywhere now, not just with tech. You see it when people overcomplicate recipes, work projects, even fixing stuff around the house. Our brains are just wired to expect the worst case scenario after dealing with so many small crises all day. Makes you wonder what other easy solutions we're all just glossing over because we're trained for panic mode. What was the last simple thing you totally overthought?
