Had a client's server room flood from a burst pipe in the building next door
I was on site at a small law firm in Springfield last Thursday when water started seeping under the server room door. The main pipe in the adjacent coffee shop burst. We had to power down three Dell PowerEdge servers and a NAS unit within about 15 minutes to avoid a short. Has anyone else had to deal with a sudden environmental disaster like that, and what's your immediate shutdown checklist?

Honestly, did you at least get to save the coffee shop's espresso machine too?

lol the espresso machine line is so real. It's like we all have that one weirdly important thing on the list next to the actual important stuff. My buddy's top priority after a car crash was saving his half-eaten bag of chips from the passenger seat.

My checklist after a flood, Spencerl32: power, network, then the backup NAS.
