Walked an old school building in Cleveland, the copper runs are still solid after 60 years
Was doing a routine check on a 1960s school downtown. The original copper supply lines look better than some stuff I put in last year. No pitting, no scale buildup. That got me thinking about how we traded durability for speed on installs. Copper was expensive and slow to solder, but it just keeps going. Do any of you still spec copper on repipes for older commercial spots, or is it all PEX now?
