Took an old timer's advice about stacking vents, saved my whole job
Guy who's been doing this since the 80s told me to run the 3-inch line first and rough in the 2-inch after, on a Santee fitting in the basement of a diner over in Jersey City. I was skeptical but did it anyway, and the inspector passed us on the first go, no red tags or callbacks. Anyone else got a tip from a veteran that turned out way better than the book method?

Was the old timer a Jersey guy by any chance? I used to swear by the book order for everything, but after watching that stack work on a tight crawl space, I flipped completely. Now I always rough the main line first and let the smaller one hang off it, saves me from fighting with clearance every single time.
