The water pressure change at the old library on Main Street was huge

We redid the main supply line for the city library last month, switching from the original 1950s galvanized pipe to a new 2-inch PEX system. Before the swap, the third-floor restrooms had maybe 20 psi, and now they're pushing a solid 65. What's the biggest pressure jump you've seen after a repipe job?

My buddy's old farmhouse went from a sad trickle to blasting the skin off a tomato, lol. They had these ancient, totally clogged pipes and after the repipe it was like a fire hose in the kitchen sink. That jump from maybe 15 to over 70 psi was insane, you could hear the pipes hum. Makes you realize how bad it was before when you finally get the pressure you should have had all along.

Our old cabin had the same 15 psi sludge for years.

Actually not sure bigger pressure is always better, since that old system might have been gently rusted in a way that kept sediment from blasting through and jamming fixtures. I've seen repipes that solved one problem but created water hammer and a whole lot of new leaks where the new pressure found weak spots in old valves. Are you noticing any weird banging or dripping since the switch?
