That Tuesday with 3 backflow failures in 4 hours still bugs me

Last month I had a Tuesday where three different backflow preventers failed before lunch, all in strip malls within a mile of each other. One was a broken check valve, one had a stuck relief valve, and one was just old and seized up. Anyone else ever hit a weird cluster like that where everything goes wrong at once, or was I just cursed?
