That Tuesday where every toilet on the 4th floor backed up at once
We had 6 toilets overflow during a lunch rush at a hospital in Dayton, and the main line was a 40 year old cast iron mess full of wipes. Took me and two guys 9 hours with a cable machine and jetter to clear it, but the building manager kept asking why we couldn't just 'fix it faster.' Anyone else deal with places that never do regular maintenance until it hits the fan like this?

Heard a plumbing inspector on a podcast say most commercial buildings treat drain lines like they're immortal, just out of sight out of mind until something breaks. Sounds like your hospital is no different, and that 40 year old line probably needed a camera inspection years ago. Nine hours is actually pretty fast for that kind of mess, so that manager needs a reality check about how long real pipe work takes.
