Rant: I thought those fancy 'self-cleaning' grease interceptor enzymes were a total scam
A supplier in Phoenix pushed them hard, so I tried them on a stubborn 500-gallon unit at a diner. After 3 months, the grease cap was half as thick and the pump-outs dropped from monthly to quarterly. Anyone have a brand they actually trust for a 24/7 kitchen?

Honestly, we had good luck with Bio-Clean's tablets for our busy spot. They cut down on that nasty grease smell fast, and we stretched our pump-out schedule too. Might be worth a look for your setup.

Wait, is the smell really that bad? @reese_singh87 I just use a little baking soda in my tank. Works fine. Those special tablets seem like a lot of extra cost for a problem that's not that serious. My rig's old and it handles basic stuff without fancy products. Maybe some setups need it, but for most folks it's overkill. Grease smell hasn't been a big deal for me.

It's funny how often we write stuff off as a scam before trying it... I had the same doubt about those enzyme packets for my home septic. The marketing always sounds too good to be true. But sometimes the boring, simple solution actually works, even if the sales pitch is full of hot air. Makes you wonder what other basic fixes we're ignoring because the packaging looks cheap.
