Finally swapped from standard Teflon tape to the blue Monster Seal stuff on a big apartment job.

Had zero leaks on 200+ gas fittings last week, the thicker seal just seats way better. Anyone else find a go-to thread sealant for gas lines they trust?

Is a hundred percent success rate on one job really enough to call something bulletproof?

Nice to hear it worked out for you. That's a solid result on a job that size. I've had good luck with the blue stuff too, it just feels more reliable.

My old boss swore by the yellow gas paste for everything. He'd put it on so thick it looked like mustard on a hot dog. I saw him seal a cracked cast iron fitting with it as a temp fix that lasted three years. Sometimes the old ways just stick with you.
