Boiler feed line in Baltimore rusted through at the 24 foot mark
Last month we swapped out a 30 year old boiler feed line in an old warehouse and found the corrosion was worst at the 24 foot mark, right past a support hanger. The pipe looked fine on the outside but had pitted down to a pinhole leak on the inside curve. Anyone else see localized rust hitting at hanger points more often than the joints?
