Took me 5 hours to find a leak in a valve 30 feet down near Port Houston

The O-ring looked fine but it was just slightly pinched on the install, and I went through three dry checks before I spotted it. Has anyone else had a tiny inspection issue blow up your whole dive day like that?

So you're telling me you did three dry checks and still didn't catch that pinched O-ring until five hours in. What kind of setup were you using for those checks? Were you just relying on a visual inspection of the valve or did you actually pressurize and soap test each time? Because three dry checks with no sign of a leak sounds like whatever method you were using just wasn't sensitive enough for that depth.

Hit it with soapy water next time, way more reliable for deep leaks.
