That $300 flashlight took me a week to figure out on a bridge job in Mobile
I kept losing visibility on the north pier because my dive light kept fogging up on the inside, and I wasted three dives thinking it was a seal problem. Turns out the battery housing has a tiny vent that I was covering with a spare glove strap, and it took a whole week of swapping out o-rings and checking the lens before I spotted it. Has anyone else dealt with a gear gremlin that made you feel like an idiot for that long?

Is it always the boring, tiny thing that bites you, not the fancy part? Feels like every time I fight a problem for days, the fix ends up being something so dumb I could've seen it on day one.
