Overheard a dive supervisor say 'slow is smooth' and it changed my whole descent routine
I used to rush my gear checks and drop fast to beat current, but after listening to him talk a new guy through a 40 foot murky bottom job in Galveston last month, I realized my hurry was just making me fight the water instead of reading it, so now I take an extra 5 minutes before splashdown and my air usage has been way better, has anyone else tried slowing down the pre-dive ritual?
