Noticed something odd on a pier job in Galveston last Tuesday

Watched a guy newer than me spend 20 minutes fighting his umbilical on the bottom because he never once checked his own gear before splashing. We always blame the tender or the supervisor, but when was the last time you walked your own hose and hat before a dive?

Checking your own gear takes two minutes. Blaming the tender for your own laziness is weak. Walk your hose and hat every single time or stay on the boat.
