My old supervisor in Galveston said never trust a diver who won't get wet in the first five minutes
Three years back I watched a guy sit on the boat for 40 minutes "checking his gear" before a 60 foot job, and my supervisor pulled me aside and said that. Sure enough, the guy panicked at the bottom and we had to bring him up. I think some of these new cert mills are pushing guys through too fast without enough open water time. How many dives did you have logged before your first real commercial job?
