I thought those new wireless comms for divers were just a hassle until a job in Seattle.

We were doing a hull inspection on a ferry in Elliott Bay, and the old hardwire system kept snagging on the prop guards. The lead diver switched us to a wireless set, the Ocean Reef Neptune, and I was sure it would cut out. But we had clear chat at 60 feet for the whole 3 hour shift, even with the boat moving. Anyone else made the switch and had it actually work out?

Totally wrote off wireless gear as a gimmick for way too long. My crew did a tricky salvage job in a murky river last fall and the cables were a constant nightmare, always getting caught on debris. We finally tried a wireless set on a whim and the difference was honestly shocking, like we could actually focus on the work instead of fighting our own gear. It completely changed how I see the tech now.

We had the same issue with cables in tight spaces. Switched to wireless coms and it just made everything flow better.
