I finally hit 500 hours on my new Kirby Morgan hat and the difference in seal comfort is huge.

The silicone just seems to have molded perfectly after that point, so has anyone else noticed a specific hour mark where their gear just clicked into place?

Oh man, that's awesome to hear! Honestly, my old hat was the same way, it just felt off until I crossed about 400 hours. Tbh it's like the seal just gave up fighting and decided to be friends. The comfort change is no joke, you stop thinking about it completely.

Right? It hits a point where it just becomes part of you. That break-in period is a real test of patience though.

Haha yeah that break-in period is like a bad first date that somehow ends in a marriage. I legit thought I'd made a huge mistake with my leather jacket for the first two months. Kept checking the tags like maybe I grabbed the wrong size. It was stiff and awkward and I was convinced it was gonna stay that way forever. Then one day I put it on and it just clicked, like the material finally gave up on being mad at me. Now it's basically a second skin and I can't imagine packing it away.
