Man, reading about your cable failing at 90 feet really hits home. I used to think those super long backup cords were just extra gear to haul around. But a failure at that height, on a bridge no less, is a serious wake-up call. It totally changes how you see the risk. Now I get why having that backup is absolutely critical, not just optional. That kind of situation would leave you totally stuck.
